Now that I am a wife and mother, my family loves whenever I bake one with just one change, by adding some some nuts such as: walnut.

It is quite easy to make.

After all, the main ingredient is banana and it is always right there in your kitchen.

So once my bananas start to ripe, I would immediately start planning which day I am going to bake a quick banana bread.

I would purposely purchase additional bananas just to bake this classic recipe.

Sometimes after dinner, I will feel like eating something sweet but not sugary, a slice of Banana Bread does the trick for me.

This moist banana bread recipe can be eaten for breakfast or put a slice of cheese on it and lunch is ready…. of course with a glass of milk.

Different Types of Banana Bread

There are many different types of Banana Bread otherwise from the Plain ones with just bananas.

Two popular ones are Chocolate Banana Bread and Cheese-Filled Banana Bread.

I have seen where fruits such as: strawberry, blueberry, pineapple and even carrots are incorporated into making a some delicious ones.

Oh, and also pumpkin and zucchini, just to make it different and interesting.

However, all my life I have been eating the plain type and I can’t get tired of it.

I just love it.

Can I freeze this Banana Bread?

Absolutely yes!

Allow the Bread to cool first, then tightly wrap as a whole loaf or individual slices with plastic wrap or parchment paper.

Place the wrapped whole or individual slices into a freezer friendly bag and place in the freezer for up 3 months.

To defrost, leave on the counter top for it to come to room temperature.

Then reheat in the oven or microwave if so desired.
