I am pretty sure that you can find all these spices in your pantry, so you might not even have to go to the supermarket to get them.

All you have to do is add all the spices into a bowl and whisk them together.

Then pour it into an air tight jar.

It is just that simple and easy.

For this special blend, I choose to add to the original blend of spices some onion powder, black pepper, basil, parsley and salt to it.

You can choose to customize it to the way you like it.

It’s your choice.

Just go ahead and play around with it, until it’s just the right amount of blend for you.

If you choose to omit the salt from this cajun spice blend recipe, then please remember to add it while cooking or directly to the meat before.

Also, you can add more cayenne pepper, if you are a spice lover.

Cajun Seasoning Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 2 teaspoon dried Oregano
  • 3 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 2 teaspoon dried Thyme
  • 2 Tablespoon smoked Paprika
  • 3 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 teaspoon dried Parsley
  • 2 teaspoon dried Basil
  • 4 teaspoon Salt or to taste
  • 2 teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, add all of the ingredients above. Mix together by using a whisk until all is equally combined.
  2. Pour all of the seasoning in an air tight container. It can be stored for up to 3 months.

Notes:

  1. If you are a spice lover, you can add more cayenne pepper or some red pepper flakes to add more spice.
  2. You can choose to double or triple this spice recipe. Just make sure you make enough, so you will never run out of it.
  3. This homemade Cajun Seasoning can be stored in an air tight container for up to 3 months.

In general, I never thought I would love a spice blend like this, because as I said before, I am not a spice lover.
