My mother is here on vacation and she was already telling me how good it smells, when she was in the living room watching TV.

You can eat this Cajun Dirty Rice with any meat of choice or just eat it all by itself.

I had some ribs I did in the oven, so that’s what I served it with for my family with some salad.

I was able to have dinner in under an hour.

It was delicious.

I will definitely do this again and again, since there was no objection to it.

What is Cajun Seasoning?

The Cajun Seasoning blend comes from the Louisiana area and some other Southern States.

This special spice blend is a combination of paprika, oregano, garlic powder, thyme and cayenne pepper.

As a result, it is the perfect combination of seasonings.

For this recipe, I used my homemade Cajun Seasoning.

It is not too spicy, just the right amount of spice, that will amp up any dish.

What is Cajun Dirty Rice?

This Cajun Dirty Rice recipe is a classic favorite in home across Southern Louisiana.

Originally, Cajun Dirty Rice mostly uses liver, which gives it a dark ‘dirty’ color and a peculiar taste.

But not every one loves liver. So what else can you use instead of liver.

A few days ago, I decided to close my eyes and cook some Beef Liver.

Yep…. Beef Liver.

Cajun Dirty Rice in a white small bowl.

The only reason why, was because I have low blood count.

In general, Liver is not something I put on my shopping list.

When I was living in Jamaica, my mom used to cook it for us.

But probably, like every three months.

Liver overall isn’t a favorite of mine either, so I didn’t add any to this dish.

Instead, it is a Cajun Dirty Rice Recipe with sausage.

I bought some Premium Breakfast Sausage from Walmart.

This isn’t an ad, I just love shopping at Walmart.

You can find all these Cajun Dirty Rice Ingredients at a local Walmart near you.

Is Cajun Rice the same as Dirty Rice?

Whether it is Cajun Rice or Dirty Rice, it is all the same type of rice dish.

The difference is the type of meat that is used, spice or the amount of vegetables a person used in this dish.

So yes, Cajun Rice and Dirty Rice is the same kind of rice.
