How to make Breakfast Casserole?

This Breakfast Casserole Recipe very easy to make, once the breakfast sausage and vegetables are cooked. Then it’s in the oven for 40 minutes and breakfast is served.

Firstly, cook the breakfast sausage as directed on the package. Set aside to cool. Add the vegetables with a pinch of salt and saute for a few minutes. Set aside to cool.

Secondly, crack the 6 eggs and add to a medium bowl. Add the milk and lightly beat with a whisk. Add the garlic powder, dried parsley and black pepper to the egg mixture and whisk together, if you choose to add them.

Thirdly, cut each biscuit dough into 6 pieces and spread at the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Add the cooked breakfast sausages, sautéed vegetables, and sprinkle half of the cheese. Pour the egg mixture on top and add the remaining cheese.

Finally, bake for about 40 minutes. Allow to cool down and serve warm.

  • 1 pound Breakfast Sausage, cooked
  • 1 16 oz container of Biscuit
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups of Cheese (one cup each of Cheddar and Monterey Jack)
  • 1/2 medium green Bell Pepper, diced (optional)
  • 1/2 medium Onion, diced (optional)
  • 1 Roma Tomato, diced (optional)
  • pinch of Salt (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder (optional)
  • 1 Tablespoon dried Parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Breakfast Sausage in a medium skillet as directed on the package. Pour the breakfast sausage in a bowl and set aside to cool.
  2. In the same skillet, sauteed the onions, tomatoes and green bell pepper. Add the pinch of salt to the sauteed vegetables. Set aside to cool.
  3. Whisk the eggs and milk in a medium bowl. Add the garlic powder, black pepper and dried parsley, if you choose to add them.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan with non stick oil spray and set aside.
  5. Open the container of biscuit and for each biscuit cut it up into 6 pieces. Spread the pieces of biscuits evenly at the bottom.
  6. Sprinkle the cooked breakfast sausage over the pieces of biscuits.
  7. Add the sauteed vegetables on top and then add half of both types of cheese.
  8. Pour the egg mixture over the top and add the remaining of both types of cheese.
  9. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve warm.
