  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoon milk
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips, divided

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Greased a 9 x 5 loaf pan with butter and lightly dust it with some flour. Set aside.
  2. Beat granulated sugar, butter and milk in a large bowl, with an electric mixer on high speed.
  3. Add the vanilla extract, bananas and eggs to the creamed butter and mix together.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and the ground nutmeg. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix together, until fully combined.
  5. Gently fold in 3/4 of the chocolate chips to the mixture. Pour mixture in the prepared loaf pan. Add the remaining 1/4 cup of chocolate chips to the top of the mixture.
  6. Bake for about 60 to 70 minutes or until a toothpick is inserted into the center and it comes out clean.
  7. Let it stand for about 15 minutes, before removing it from the loaf pan.
  8. Once it’s cool to your desire, slice and enjoy.
