Heart Shaped Peanut Butter Cookies

Heart Shaped Peanut Butter Cookies

These Heart Shaped Peanut Butter Cookies are simple and easy to make without a cookie cutter.

They are perfect for Valentine’s Day or for a special occasion, like a birthday.

Your kids will love them because of they are yummy and so cute to look at.

If you are a peanut butter lover like me, you will love these Heart Shaped Peanut Butter Cookies.

You will be eating these under 30 minutes, not just one, but a lot.

Sorry but it’s impossible to eat just one.

They are that irresistible.

You can make a batch with the kids because of how easy it is to make.

I always allow my kids to help me in the kitchen, even though it hurts my heart when I look at all the messed I will have to clean up afterwards… LOL.

These Peanut Butter Cookies Heart Shaped are similar to my original Peanut Butter Cookies, except for the shape and a few tiny change to the recipe.

You don’t need a heart shape cookie cutter to create these (See Instructions below on how to do so), but if you have one, go right ahead and use it.

They are both delicious and are almost gone right after they are out of the oven.

Yep… that’s how irresistible they are.

How to make Heart Shaped Peanut Butter Cookies

Trust me when I say it is so easy and quick to make, once you have gathered all the ingredients ahead of time.

Firstly, whisk all the dry ingredients together and set aside.

Secondly, cream both the sugars and butter together and then add the eggs, vanilla extract and creamy peanut butter. Mix well.

Thirdly, add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix together to form a dough.

Fourthly, use a tablespoon cookie scoop and form a ball by using the palm of your hands and placed on a lined baking sheet 2 inches apart. See the instructions below on how to form the heart shape for each cookie.

Finally, use a fork to create the criss cross design on each cookie. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

How to form the ‘Heart Shaped’ Cookies?

To form the Heart Shape on each cookies is quite easy.

It may look hard to do without a cookie cutter but trust me when I say it is easy.

Placed each ball on a lined baking sheet with parchment paper 2 inches apart.

Cover the ball with a piece of plastic wrap and gently flatten it (not too much) with the bottom of a measuring cup.

Remove the plastic wrap and use a dinner/butter knife or a spatula to cut at the top center of the dough.

Using the spatula is much easier for me. Push it outwards to form the top of a heart.

Make sure to form a wide opening (the top of a V) or else when it is finished baking it will be very close and doesn’t look like the top of a heart.

Then use your index and thumb fingers to form the end of the “V” shape.

All of them wont be perfect, but you will be very proud of yourself.

Use your hands to shape the heart to your desire.

  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (1 Stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, add the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, and salt, and whisk together.

  7. Use a fork and gently press down on the top of each cookie to create a criss-cross design.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for about 8 to 10 minutes. They bake so fast, so don’t over bake them.
  9. Once they are baked, take them out of the oven and allow them to cool for 5 minutes, before transferring them to a wire rack. Enjoy.
  10. Repeat the process for the remainder of the cookie dough.
